Sunnier Pines is open all year round and has events planned for each month!
April was a great month with a lot of warm sunny days. It was also a sad month with the news of Donna passing away. Let’s all keep Harry in our hearts and prayers.
Many improvements have been completed in the past month and Sunnier Pines would like to thank all of you that helped with these improvements. We are now looking forward to a fun filled month of May with our first Big Holiday of the season. See website for all updates: sunnierpines.net
Activities for May, 2012
* Sunnier Pines has the right to make any changes to the activities scheduled and/or posted per attendance and/or weather related.
* Sunnier Pines will only be planning “Club” sponsored events during the winter months as requested. Any weekends not listed here
will be considered a spontaneous weekend event via word of mouth as per the attendance at the club during that weekend.
Cinco de Mayo Weekend
Friday, May 4th – Fiesta Night Meet and Greet– 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Bring your favorite Mexican Munchies.
Saturday, May 5th – Cinco de Mayo Day
Chili Pepper Guessing Game – Guess how many Peppers are in the Jar. (All Day Event)
Sombrero Hat Craft Class – 10:00 AM - Make your own Sombrero Hat. (Cost of supplies)
Tissue Paper Flower Craft Class – 1:00 PM – Make Tissue Flowers. (Cost of supplies)
Peso Toss – 3:00 PM – Toss your peso into the hats to get the highest points.
Taco Night – 5:00 – 7:00 PM - Lu Ann has the Sign up Sheet for your contribution for this meal, (shells, meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc. Please let her know what you will be bringing.
Mexican Hat Dance – 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM - Music under the stars on the deck, bring your sombrero and show us your dance.
Sunday, May 6th Break The Piñata – 11:00 AM
Piñata filled with some candy and other surprises.
NASCAR Sprint Cup in Talladega – begins at 11:00 AM on direct TV in the Clubhouse.

Mother’s Day Weekend
Friday, May 11th – Meet and Greet – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Bring your favorite Munchies.
Saturday, May 12th – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Mother’s Day Eve Dinner – Baked Ham – Requested minimum donation is $5.00
Please bring a dish to pass.
NASCAR Sprint Cup in Darlington – begins at 5:30 PM on direct TV in the Clubhouse

Support Our Troops – Bring a donation for Sunnier Pines to send a Care Package to the USO for our troops. Items like: crackers, coffee, sport drinks, tissues, toothpaste, candy, gum, phone cards, etc.
“Submarine” Sandwich Night – 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Club to provide the bread, all guests to bring some meat, cheese, and toppings. Lu Ann has the Sign-Up for your contribution.

“Ship Wrecked” Breakfast – 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Eggs and Bacon – Requested minimum donation is $3.00
NASCAR Sprint Cup All Star Race in Charlotte – begins at 6:00 PM on direct TV in the Clubhouse.

Horse Shoes, Ladder Toss, Air Hockey, and Ping Pong Scrabble in the Blue Moon Lagoon
Dinner – 5:00 PM – 7:00PM
